About the Artist
Six decades of life, work, and paint.
At 18, in 1957, I painted the clown that now hangs on the homepage. Eventually, I had a 50-year career as managing partner of a CPA firm in Los Angeles, California, retiring in 2009.
After retiring, I consulted with business clients until 2019. At that time, I needed something to do, and I was getting bored. I decided to see if painting might reduce my boredom. I proceeded to several websites offering training in painting techniques, and late in 2019 I started to paint again.
When people started to tell me — especially my wife — that I have a talent for painting, I would respond: "Talent is great, but talent gets better as a result of education and practice. You should see my throwaways."
I hope you enjoy my work.

Painted at 18 years old, this clown portrait started a journey that would span nearly seven decades. After a long career in accounting, the brush found its way back.
